SRMS Battle of the Books!

SRMS 1st Battle of the Books featured 32 popular books across 4 genres: Dystopian, Realistic Fiction, Historical Fiction and Graphic Novels. All staff and students were able to get in on the fun. The bracket was single elimination (following the spirit of March Madness) with Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4 and Championship Round.

The original 32 books were voted down to 4, one from each genre. Harry Potter series (defeated The Hunger Games series), Fever 1793 (defeated Chains),

The Fault In Our Stars (defeated The Book Thief) and Tin Tin (defeated Drama).

In the Championship Round, Harry Potter Series prevailed over The Fault In Our Stars. Both of those books are very popular in our SRMS LLC.

To celebrate the victory, students have been letting us know which of the books in the Harry Potter series they like most and why.
